Step 1: Prep Your Bundle

Different textures need different approaches:

  • Straight: Comb through before wetting

  • BW/DW: Finger-detangle first

  • KC/KST: Soak in lukewarm water 5 mins first

Step 2: Gentle Cleansing

Water Temperature Guide:

  • ST/LW: Cool water (prevents loosening)

  • BW/WW: Warm water

  • KC/DC: Warm-to-hot (opens cuticles)

Washing Technique:

  1. Mix mild shampoo (we recommend sulfate-free) in bowl of water

  2. Swish bundle gently for 30 seconds

  3. Rinse under gentle water stream

  4. Repeat only if very dirty

Step 3: Condition Based on Texture

Step 4: Perfect Drying Methods

Straight:

  • Pat dry with microfiber

  • Hang to dry completely

  • Lightly flat iron if needed

Body Wave:

  • Scrunch with t-shirt

  • Air dry or diffuse

  • Finger-coil a few pieces for definition

Curly:

  • Apply styling gel while wet

  • Stretch dry or braid dry

  • Shake out when 100% dry

Texture Refresh Between Washes

Revive your bundles without washing:

  1. For ST: Steam refresh with distilled water

  2. For BW/WW: Spritz water+conditioner mix

  3. For KC/DC: Dampen hands with oil and scrunch
