Meet Our Founder
Our founder, Dayong Xu, was born in a humble village in Henan, a region known as China’s historical hair trading center. Since the Qing Dynasty, hair collectors from around the world have come to Henan for its rich supply of high-quality human hair. Growing up in this environment, Dayong developed a deep connection with the craft of hair-making — and a dream to one day share it with the world.
Determined to change
After moving to the United States in 2010, Dayong discovered a painful truth: many American customers were paying high prices for low-quality hairs. That’s when he made a promise to himself — to bring premium, affordable hairs from China to the U.S. market, and to make beautiful hair accessible — not a luxury.
Born of "Starhair"
In 2012, he co-founded a hair brand with a partner. But the partnership soon fell apart due to greed and poor ethics. While his partner compromised quality for profit, Dayong stayed true to his values. He made a bold decision: walk away, and start again — this time, with purpose and integrity.
